Within the 17th and 18th centuries predominantly, with occasionally more recent works, we like to mix the well known with the lesser known. So with the well known favourites of Vivaldi and Mozart and Bach there are also works by Corelli, Telemann, Albinoni, Marcello, to mention just a few.
Depending on the programme our chamber music can vary from duo to full chamber orchestra complete with wind instruments and very often soloists in the case of concertos.
We are now looking to give our concerts themes and so watch for the following
- The Double Bass – the play and the Trout Quintet
- Double Concertos
- Larger ensembles – Beethoven Septet and Schubert Octet
- Musical Humour
- The Viola’s Revenge
- Other Seasons
- Exciting Transcriptions
- Mozart and Salieri
- Fugues
- The Death and the Maiden
